Cheese and Keto Diet
May 01, 2019Cheese Please!
Did you start a keto diet because you can have all the cheese you want?!?
Well, it may not necessarily be all "mouse heaven," or "cheese head" as you think.
If you started off well, but now have stalled on your weightloss, one thing to take a look at is your dairy intake.
First, with the exception of grass-fed butter, ghee, full-fat cream cheese, whipping cream, and hard cheeses, all dairy should be bye-bye. Yes, eliminated from your day to day diet.
Start with taking a look at the amount and type of cheeses you are consuming.
Second, how much cheese are you consuming? Maybe try to take it down to consuming cheese every three to four days.
Thirdly, take a close look at the quality of cheese. Is it organic? Is it a quality hard cheese. No processed garbage that you may go to as a staple, like the gooey, nacho style, melty cheese from a restaurant.
So, if you have plateaued, or are just starting out. Rethink the amount and the type of cheese you are consuming or going to consume. Make it a treat you savor and enjoy a couple times a week. Make sure it is quality.
Bon appetit!
