Don't think - Begin

Have you ever wanted to do something, say something, or start something, but never did because you talked yourself out of it?

You thought who am I to say that, do that, or even think that is possible.

Our thoughts, really it's our brain, will sometimes talk us out of doing things that we perceive as scary or intimidating.  Why?  It is trying to protect us.  Our brain wants to protect us.  It wants to help us survive. Really it does.  However, it does not know when to turn off that survival mechanism. So, whenever you feel a little nervous about something, it is going to try to talk you out of doing whatever is making you feel uncomfortable.

That is why I am going to tell you to be like a movie director and say 3, 2, 1, ACTION and take action.  Don't hesitate.  When you hesitate, you generally lose out.

When you are about to do something out of your comfort zone, know that when you start to feel a little nervous, your brain is going to start the stinkin thinkin process to try to talk you out of doing whatever it is.  Your brain has evolved that way to protect you.  To keep you alive.  It is doing its job.  So, thank it, ignore it, and take that first step.  BEGIN!!
